Although having trained as a painter, Trevor’s life long passion and subsequent career have been within the realms of photography.
Over the years, Trevor has been influenced by changing situations and opportunities, as well as by the availability of different equipment and materials. Initially, an interest in surrealism, took him to the streets of England, recording bizarre coincidences and the ambiguous interrelationships between people and their surroundings in an urban setting. Later, a fascination with old, medium format and plate cameras has led Trevor to work increasingly within the context of the rural and coastal landscapes that surround him.
Trevor spent over 14 months photographing in the biomes of Eden, Cornwall, recording the pattern and structure of the plant forms there, many of which were are fallen leaves and blossoms which lay unnoticed by visitors.
