Two girls meet on a train journey…
One of them – privileged, chaotic – is heading to an exclusive Swiss rehab centre following months of partying and living wildly. The other – who couldn’t be more different – is down to her last penny, running away.
When they get off the train they are both pretending to be the other. Just for a short period, of course. Just until the rehab stint is over . . .
Tabbi, privileged and chaotic, is heading to an exclusive Swiss rehab centre following months of partying and living wildly and some VERY unwise behaviour.
Ruby, who couldn’t be more different, has an Interrail ticket and no real plans (or does she?)
Emily lives in Cornwall with my husband Craig and our children. She started out working as a journalist in London, but had always hankered after a quiet room and a book to write. Her transition became a reality when she was commissioned to go travelling for a year, and came home with the beginnings of a novel set in the world of backpackers in Asia. This became Backpack, a thriller which won the WH Smith New Talent Award, and she has since written eleven more novels for adults, one novella, a sci-fi horror novel and Young Adults novels, published in the UK and around the world. The Other Girl is Emily’s eighth novel for young adults. It’s a fast paced adventure, about two girl who meet on a train, and decide that things might go better for both of them if they switched identities.
