3 day book festival featuring authors, chefs, performers in Redruth, Cornwall

The Redruth Book Feast returns for an incredible three-day event, packed with lively discussions, literary talks, a keynote speaker, and a chaired panel to finish off the weekend. This year there is an impressive three-day event, packed with lively conversations, literary talks, fabulous food, free children’s events, a pop-up bookshop, dinner with a keynote speaker, and a panel discussion to finish off the weekend.

The Redruth Book Feast organisers are delighted to announce an exciting weekend of literary speakers, fabulous food, free children’s events, a pop-up book shop and more. Expanding on many of the successful features of last year’s festival, this year they have added a Literary Salon, exploring the depths of folklore with Scary Little Girls, a Saturday Brunch panel featuring local chefs and food writers, who will be discussing the future of food and farming, and much more.

The festival’s events will be following the theme of the land and our connection to it, from wild swimming, sustainable farming, the beauty of gardening, walking the coast path, all the way to the mines beneath our feet. Speaking at the event will be Sophie Pierce, Tim Hubbard, Orlando Murrin, Lucy Holland and Jodie Matthews, plus many, many more. It is set to be a wonderful weekend; the Saturday culminating in a delicious feast catered by The Philleigh Way Cookery School in the company of after dinner speaker and That’s Life! star, Bill Buckley.

Alongside the main programme of events in the Redruth Drapery, children’s events will take place in the Redruth Library on Saturday morning. Younger children can join illustrator Rebecca Cobb for readings of her latest books and craft activities, and budding writers aged 6-12 can learn some tricks of both the writing and magic trade with Justyn Edwards.

The Redruth Drapery is a unique event space and is the base for the weekend. With its intimate atmosphere, eclectic decor, and imaginative hosts it is a space worthy of a Feast.
